The Approximations Gig - Nov 19, 2005

Tom's band "The Approximations" played a fun gig Saturday night at the Highway 99 Club in Seattle. It was a nice venue, at the bottom of the steps near Pike Place Market. Normally it's a Blues Club, but that night it was taken over by Rock and Roll. It was a charity show put on by the Washington State Attorney General's office (where Rusty the drummer is a Deputy Attorney General), and the King County Prosecuting Attorneys office (where Dan the bass player is the Chief of Staff of the Prosecuting Attorney), so the whole place was crawling with lawyers! While I was photographing the band, I kept running into this guy who was also taking pictures. I thought he was a hired photographer, until he was introduced to the audience as the Attorney General! LOL!! It was the first gig they played without Rick, which was a bit sad, but Michael filled in admirably on keyboards. The band really sounded great, and everyone had a wonderful time.
